The death of a homeless man in Vilanova i la Geltrú is being investigated.

They found him at seven in the morning and a natural death is ruled out.

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) are investigating the death of a man after finding his body this Saturday morning in the Francesc Macià Gardens in Vilanova i la Geltrú, in the Garraf region. Municipal sources indicate that the victim was homeless and that the police are investigating the circumstances of his death.

The victim is a man in his 50s who was sleeping on the streets. For now, everything points to the death from knife wounds, according to sources with access to the case.

The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) received a call at around 7:00 a.m. that there was a person in the street and sent patrols to the area. When they arrived at the gardens where the body was found, they found it to be a man who showed signs of criminality, the police force explained. Therefore, natural death is ruled out, and the investigation has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC).

Along with the Mossos d'Esquadra, paramedics from the Emergency Medical System (SEM) also arrived at the scene, but were only able to certify the victim's death.
