Four brands of cosmetic products from a Barcelona company have been recalled.

The Ministry of Health, through the AEMPS (Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products), has ordered the immediate recall of all batches of cosmetic products from the brands Pirinherbsan, Fontdeblanc, Mythological, and ExtrAroma. The Barcelona-based company Global Comarcos SL manufactured these cosmetics in facilities that did not comply with legal requirements and without a declaration of compliance with its manufacturing activity.

The Subdirectorate General for Health and Pharmaceutical Regulation and Quality, attached to the Directorate General for Health Regulation and Regulation of the Generalitat (Catalan Government), has found that the facilities where the products were manufactured did not comply with good manufacturing practices and that, furthermore, the cosmetics did not comply. In addition to their recall, the health authority has ordered the Catalan company to cease its manufacturing and marketing activities.

The AEMPS has published a list of all products that have been affected as service information for consumers, as well as a notice to businesses that carry these products: they must withdraw them from sale and contact the responsible company.
