The uncle of the mistreated baby declares: the mother blamed the father for shaking the child

BarcelonaThe investigation into the case of the mistreated baby who was hospitalized for a month continued to advance this Friday with the testimonies of the baby's grandparents and uncles. Among those who appeared in court was the brother of the accused, who explained to the judge a scene that the woman had recounted to him. The father, "trying to caress the child, he would have shaken him, and she reproached him, telling him 'you can't do that'", and he admitted it, according to sources present at the declaration. The witness, brother of the father and brother-in-law of the baby's mother, added that it was the woman who alerted him.

The witness also recounted a conversation he had with his brother once he was already in provisional prison, according to legal sources. Following the judicial investigation, he had become aware of some messages in which the child's mother explained to some friends that she was considering kicking the father out of the house because he did not take good care of the infant. The witness, who according to the whole family had a very close relationship with his brother, asked him why he had not explained this situation with his partner, but he did not give him any explanation.
