Cocaine content in Barcelona's wastewater has dropped by more than 40%, while ketamine consumption continues to rise.

The presence of cocaine in Barcelona's wastewater decreased by 43% in 2024 compared to the previous year, while ketamine continues to increase, although significantly less than in 2023, when its detection soared, according to the latest data published by the European Drug Agency.
