A 22-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of a woman in L'Hospitalet.

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) have arrested a 22-year-old man in Barcelona as the suspected perpetrator of the stabbing death of a woman on Thursday in a bar in Hospitalet de Llobregat, according to reports. The Case The Catalan police have confirmed that the woman's body was found yesterday, Thursday, inside a squat, and authorities are awaiting the results of the investigation to determine whether or not it was a case of gender-based violence. According to a statement released by the Catalan police, they received a call at 7:00 PM from someone reporting an argument inside the premises. When officers arrived, they found the deceased woman with signs of violence. The premises are owned by an investment fund and have been occupied since October 2023, according to municipal sources. The L'Hospitalet City Council has an open urban planning enforcement case and has maintained police pressure over the years, identifying people entering and leaving the property. At one point, as many as 40 people lived there, but now there are far fewer.
