BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 41-year-old woman in Sant Salvador de Guardiola (Bages) as the alleged perpetrator of the violent death of her partner, a 46-year-old man. The events occurred in February in Manresa. A man was admitted to the hospital and ended up dying. Initially, no obvious signs of criminality were found on his body, but the investigation has taken a turn.

According to sources consulted by ARA, subsequent reports concluded that the man had been poisoned. For this reason, the case was taken over by criminal investigation specialists, the DIC of the Mossos, who have ended up focusing on the deceased man's partner. The woman, as this newspaper has been able to ascertain, is a nurse and the man was a firefighter for the Generalitat.

The main police hypothesis is that she poisoned him progressively with medication, given her area of expertise and constant access to drugs. In fact, the victim experienced health problems until he was admitted to the hospital, where he died.

After months of investigation, the Catalan police finally arrested the woman on June 25 in the town of Sant Salvador de Guardiola. Once she was brought before the court, the Manresa courts ordered her provisional imprisonment, as also reported this Saturday by the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC).
