Man of 67 years arrested for killing mother in a socio-health center in Barcelona
The alleged murderer would have alerted 112 about the crime, which he committed with a bladed weapon
BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 67-year-old man this Friday as the alleged perpetrator of the violent death of his mother in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona. According to what ARA has been able to learn, the victim was 92 years old and the crime was committed with a bladed weapon in a socio-health center. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) is already investigating the facts.
The Catalan police have reported that 112 received a call around 8:45 AM from a man alerting that he had killed his mother. The Mossos d'Esquadra have moved to the scene of the events to verify the facts, which took place in a subsidized intermediate care center. These facilities cater to elderly people and those with various pathologies, whether for long-term stays —they have disabling chronic pathologies requiring continuous specialized care— or in palliative care and end-of-life support units.
