According to the Tourism Perception Survey, 63.7% of Barcelona residents believe that tourist accommodations cause a great deal or a significant amount of disturbance to the neighborhood. In a statement, Barcelona City Council indicated that this figure represents an increase of almost ten percentage points in two years.
