Reward of 2,000 dollars for whoever finds a guitar from the heavy metal group Accept stolen on the AP-7

The band's truck, which had just played at Barcelona Rock Fest, suffered a robbery in Llinars del Vallès

BarcelonaIt was early morning, around five o'clock, and the truck of the German heavy metal band Accept was returning from performing at Santa Coloma de Gramenet, as part of the Barcelona Rock Fest festival, and was heading towards Germany. The driver stopped at a rest area on the AP-7, near Llinars del Vallès, to handle some bureaucratic matters. According to the festival, four men armed with iron bars tried to steal everything they could. One of them even tried to enter the driver's cabin, which he did not succeed in doing. According to police sources, the Mossos d'Esquadra have already opened an investigation.

In fact, the Catalan police were able to access a locator that was on one of the objects being transported by the truck —mainly the band's instruments— but they ended up losing track of it. The driver filed the complaint very close to the border with Northern Catalonia.

While one of the thieves was threatening the driver, the other three men went to the back of the truck, broke the padlock, and opened the doors. Once inside, they stole various objects, such as lighting equipment, briefcases with computers, and other electronic devices. Above all, the band Accept regrets, according to festival sources, more than the economic value, the sentimental value of some of these objects. For example, one of the stolen instruments is a Framus Warwick Rise of Chaos WH-1 Chaos electric guitar, of great "sentimental value" to Wolf Hoffmann, the band's guitarist.

Call for collaboration

In fact, in a social media post, the band Accept said that this is one of Hoffmann's favorite guitars to play and that he uses it in almost all of their live concerts. The band has offered a reward: "If anyone has any leads, sees it for sale, finds it in a pawn shop, or knows it's being traded online, we ask you to contact us immediately. We are offering a reward of $2,000 to anyone who helps us recover it," the group states.
