That's why the Firefighters, who received more than 100 calls, issued a warning for the coming days, as long as the new heatwave that arrived yesterday, Sunday, in Catalonia lasts and is expected to continue until the end of the week. "We are entering a week in which we could have fires with speeds that exceed extinction capacity throughout the country," warned the Firefighters.

The fire has already burned more than 2,000 hectares, mainly forest, about 35 kilometers from Perpignan, and seriously injured a firefighter and a civilian. French authorities assured this Sunday afternoon that the situation is "very complicated", a consequence of the high temperatures that have been plaguing France these days and the gusts of tramontana wind that are hindering the firefighters' work. As a result, the third stage of the Tour de France, which will start from Granollers this Monday, will be affected by the fire: there will be no public or caravan. More than 750 firefighters have been working throughout the day, with the support of a dozen aerial means, to try to prevent the fire from advancing towards the Aspres massif.

On May 14, the eviction of this self-managed space, which is key to the neighborhood's social network, was suspended. The Barcelona City Council and Sareb – owner of the land – were given 60 days to try to find a solution. A period that, combined with the August holidays, allowed for three months to seek a way out. But the weeks are passing without, for now, the Government and the so-called "}bad bank of the State have reached an agreement.

She speaks about what some students at the center had experienced, but it is not an isolated situation. According to the Equitat.org yearbook released this week, after many years of increasing or remaining stable, in the last five academic years the rate of ESO graduates has fallen consecutively. Despite being high, the percentage has gone from 93% to 86% in the 2024-2025 academic year, the lowest ESO graduation rate in fifteen years.

That's why now that he's 75 years old, he's so excited to see that the Catalan roads and paths are packed with bicycles, one of his great hobbies which he also shares with his brother Francesc. Together they have cycled every inch of the Pyrenees, the Alps, and have done the Taradell-Rome excursion three times, one every 25 years, the last one in 2025. Every year they eagerly await the celebration of the Tour de France, which they have seen pass through La Seu d'Urgell, Sort, and, when they were younger, Tona. But they would never have imagined it would pass through their town, and when they found out, they didn't hesitate to sign up as volunteers. "We've been assigned a stretch of street that we'll have to watch. We're responsible for a part of the Tour," says Lluís excitedly.

In large trials, they also have advisors who advise them on which evidence can best support their defense and how to present it to the jury. Sometimes they also surround themselves with investigators who work in parallel with the police so that the defense can anticipate the evidence that will be against the accused. Although the jurists consulted agree that this model is becoming increasingly widespread, it is by no means common and is used in a very small part of judicial proceedings in Catalonia. In large part, because it entails a much higher cost than a defense with a single lawyer, or a free one by appointment. "The defense in a trial works one way if you have money; if not, it works another way," summarizes the specialist in legal and forensic psychology Miquel Àngel Soria.

The Generalitat Firefighters, as President Salvador Illa has announced, have finished stabilizing the fire this Saturday night, around 10 p.m. The right flank of the flames, which was the one that worried the Firefighters the most because it was 30,000 potential hectares in the direction of Girona, had already been completely stabilized in the evening, while the left flank was "two-thirds" stabilized. A few minutes past 10 p.m., the Minister of the Interior, Núria Parlon, gave the expected news: the entire fire was stabilized, on both flanks. Therefore, a less "complicated" night is expected than the last one, when many neighbors lived in fear of the possibility that the flames would burn their homes.

The only person with whom he was that day in Collbató was his son, Jonathan Andic, currently the only one investigated for the death of the founder of Mango. The case, however, must also analyze what motivations could lead a son to kill his father. And, if we talk about motive, the economic issue is a fundamental part of the case: the judge of Martorell insists that Jonathan Andic had an "obsession with money," that he wanted his father to give him an inheritance while he was alive, and that at the time of the events Isak Andic was making arrangements to create a foundation with his inheritance.

The Mossos d'Esquadra say that the first six shooting murders are related to organized crime and drug trafficking, and suggest a gang confrontation as a possible cause for the latest incident. They go to the Ribelles camps, near the Sant Aniol river, about a three-hour walk from the Sadernes parking lot. During all these days, they do a lot of outdoor activities and live completely isolated, disconnected from their mobile phones, in tents, eating under a tent and without showers or toilets. This 2026, the camps celebrate their 40th anniversary and on July 4th they will organize a big party with a popular rice dish and live music for over 70 guests.

On July 3, 2006, he lost his wife in the tragic Valencia metro accident, the largest in Spain and the second in Europe. 43 people died and another 47 were injured. To the suffering of the absence of loved ones, the relatives had to add the pain of indifferent courts, passive media, and an indifferent citizenry. Also for a Valencian government that belittled them to the point that the then president of the Generalitat, Francisco Camps, refused to receive them. Two decades after the tragedy, the balance is less painful. "After a bitter period of many years, the support of the people and a conviction sentence arrived, which relieved us", summarizes Chulio, who has been one of the three presidents of the association of relatives.

The events took place after 10:45 PM in Parc de la Pegaso, in the Sant Andreu district of the Catalan capital. Sources consulted by this newspaper explain that several witnesses heard between two and three shots and later saw some youths fleeing. A group of young people, some with their faces covered, approached another group and opened fire on them. The victim was 15 years old. When emergency services arrived, they found an adolescent with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Despite resuscitation efforts, the boy eventually died. The Mossos d'Esquadra have already opened an investigation and were able to arrest an adult man this Friday to Saturday night as the alleged perpetrator of the minor's death. This is the tenth crime of the year in Barcelona – nine occurred last year – and the seventh with a firearm in the country.
