BarcelonaJavier Esteban, Vox's Director of Networks, has resigned from his position in the far-right party and requested to be removed from its membership list after a complaint of "sexual assault" was filed against him by a 16-year-old who collaborated with the youth organization Revuelta, as he himself reported via X. ~BK_S advanced by The WorldThere are reports of sexual comments and unwanted touching when Esteban was part of the leadership of Revuelta. The alleged victim, now 18, decided to go to the police after the alleged perpetrator left the youth organization and, therefore, was no longer her boss, according to her statement.
Esteban was one of the five members of the association's board of directors, which was ideologically aligned with Vox, but he left with Vox advisor in Brussels Arturo Villarroya after denouncing "irregularities" in the management of donations for those affected by the DANA storm, donations collected by Revuelta. This has led to... a split within the far-right party, which considers itself to be part of its youth wing..
In his message to X, Esteban declares his innocence and attributes the complaint to a "dirty war" waged against him by the current leaders of Revuelta. "This complaint is filed two years after the alleged events, but only a few days after my demand to know the truth about Revuelta's financial management: anyone can see the connection," he says.
The former head of social media for Santiago Abascal's party emphasizes that he is not a "bad person": "I have never assaulted anyone. And I will prove my innocence." However, "in order not to harm Vox," he chose to step aside. Sources from Vox's national leadership told the EFE news agency that the temporal connection between the two complaints is obvious to everyone and appealed to Esteban's presumption of innocence.
