The new attorney general is confident she can "heal" the "deep wound" caused by her predecessor's conviction.

The future Attorney General of Spain, Teresa Peramato, admits that the conviction of her predecessor, Álvaro García Ortiz, has caused a "deep wound" for the Public Prosecutor's Office and hopes that from now on it can be "healed" with the "work and effort" of all prosecutors: "I am counting on all of them," she stated.
