MadridThe Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office believes there are grounds to charge the PSOE within the framework of the Leire case at the National Court, but considers it still "premature" to take this step. It is the public prosecutor's response to the request made by the PP –which leads the popular accusations– two days ago, the day after the announcement of the November 29 elections. The prosecutor argues that first it is necessary to carry out pending proceedings such as, for example, the statement as an investigated party of Santos Cerdán, former number three of the PSOE. The Popular Party wanted Pedro Sánchez's party to be investigated for the crimes of illegal financing, bribery, influence peddling, money laundering, and embezzlement.
This move coincides with the statement of Beatriz Biedma, the judge who investigated and sent Pedro Sánchez's brother to trial. She will do so as an injured party after denouncing that a drug trafficking clan from Extremadura, Los Rochos, tried to remove her from the case. It all goes back to a note in Leire Díez's agenda: “Judge from Badajoz. La Celsa. Heroin or gypsy”. La Celsa is Cinthia Rocho, the leader of the Los Rochos clan. The judge argued that this was a "last and desperate strategy" to remove her from the investigation with "very serious acts that could have endangered her own physical integrity”.
24 hours ago, the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard delivered a report to the National Court containing the testimony, precisely, of Cinthia Rocho. She narrated a phone call with Luis Sáenz de Tejada, a former judge who was expelled from his career after a conviction for sexist violence, who is an alleged collaborator of what are dubbed the sewers of the PSOE. In the conversation, he told her that Beatriz Biedma was a “fucking pain in the ass” and that “she had to be eliminated”. “The donkey learns with beatings,” he added. And she understood that "they wanted to cause her physical harm".
She pointed to the crimes of obstruction of justice, against moral integrity, threats and coercion, discovery and disclosure of secrets, false accusation or report, and criminal organization. However, Judge Santiago Pedraz limited it to the crime of slander. Furthermore, the magistrate refused to pull the thread of Leire Díez's agenda, alleging that "it is not possible to open an investigation line" for every note that appears in it "without further data" about its "relevance".
