BarcelonaThe President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, was treated at the hospital this Saturday for a possible muscle strain suffered after exercising. The President is in good condition and went to the health center after his scheduled institutional visit this morning to Ascó (Tarragona). He had gone for a run beforehand and that's when he began to feel discomfort. After the official event, he continued to experience pain, so he sought medical attention. He is currently undergoing tests to determine the diagnosis after feeling unwell. Illa is an avid runner and has maintained his training, which he usually does first thing in the morning, even after being sworn in as President of the Generalitat. In fact, he had planned to run the Granollers half marathon this Sunday, in which he participated last year. These plans have now been canceled by the head of the Catalan government.
