A man arrested for threatening to kill Carlos Mazón
A thirty-year-old man has been arrested for threats after several months of allegedly attacking the Valencian president through social networks.

BarcelonaThe president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, is in the eye of the storm for his management of the DANA in the Valencian Community, with constant demonstrations, version changes on your part, and the Instruction from a judge in Catarroja that completely calls into question the actions of the Valencian government –with the indictment, for now, of the Minister responsible for Emergencies, Salomé Pradas. However, since the beginning of her controversial administration, she has also received several threats from citizens, and the first arrest has already been made. According to reports, The World And ARA has been able to confirm from police sources, a thirty-year-old man has been arrested for threats against Carlos Mazón, which he allegedly made anonymously.
According to police sources, the young Spanish national was arrested last Wednesday after "making repeated death threats" on social media in recent months on the official profile of the Valencian president. Likewise, according to judicial sources, he was brought before the court on Thursday in Catarroja's investigating court number 4, which was on duty, and which released him on precautionary measures. Thus, the man who was arrested and is formally investigated in an open case for the crime of threats must appear before the court every two weeks. The court that ordered these precautionary measures in the case of threats is not the same one in Catarroja that has the DANA case being investigated by the Valencian government, which is Court 3, but Court 4. Furthermore, the court has agreed to the disqualification in the Valencian courts, considering that "they are the ones with the jurisdiction to continue." This means that it will be the Valencian courts that will clarify whether jurisdiction falls to them or whether it will be returned to Catarroja.
The police have not revealed which network was used, but The World suggests it was Instagram. The police investigation began just after the cold snap, which hit the territory on October 29 of last year, leaving more than 228 dead. Following several "episodes against public officials" of threats on social media, the Provincial Information Brigade of the Valencian National Police Headquarters began a search for those received by the Valencian president, including that of this thirty-year-old. In fact, according to police sources, more arrests are currently not ruled out in relation to the alleged threats Mazón may have received.
In this way, the police open a new front in the DANA crisis: they open proceedings for a crime of threats (which have not been executed) with sentences of between six months and three years in prison. The court has so far opened a case for that offense, but the police had also been investigating a possible hate crime, which can carry a sentence of one to four years in prison, or, in less severe cases, six months to two years and a fine of six months to one year. However, the court has not ruled out opening another "classification" of the crime.
