Gabriel Rufián and Irene Montero will hold a joint event in Barcelona to defend the unity of the left

ERC denies that paths are being explored and counters that there is only this programmed act

BarcelonaAfter the blow to the left in the Castille and Leo elections, where Podem and Sumar were left out of the regional chamber, ERC spokesperson, Gabriel Rufián, stated: "Seats to the left of the PSOE. Doing nothing (or the same old thing) is pure negligence." Given the proliferation of regional governments with a PP and Vox majority and the more than possible alliance of these two forces in the next general elections, the Esquerra leader does not tire of demanding a united left-wing front in Spain.

He did so on February 19 in Madrid accompanied by Emilio Delgado, a regional deputy from Més Madrid, and will do so again in Barcelona on April 9 with Podem MEP Irene Montero and former leader of the Comuns, Xavier Domènech. Esquerra, as it did at the time, has distanced itself from the event. Republican sources have minimized this event and denied that avenues are being explored and refute that there is only this event scheduled
