The governability of the State

Ayuso replies to Sánchez that "yes I love you": "Like all the 'dogs' that sleep in a palace"

MadridAfter a summer haunted by the luxury penthouse scandal, Isabel Díaz Ayuso appears this Thursday at the Madrid Assembly to submit herself to the scrutiny of the opposition in the state of the region debate. The meeting, which will last until this Friday, has coincided with the declassification of reports on Ceuta, which has put the Spanish government against the ropes. The Madrid president has taken advantage of it and has focused the first twenty minutes of her appearance on attacking Pedro Sánchez and warning him that his handling of the migration crisis could have judicial consequences. Ayuso has described him as an "absent" president and cornered by the "blackmail of unconfessable interests".

"He who calls himself dog, does have love. Like all the dogs who sleep in a palace", he retorted, using this expression as a direct reply to Sánchez, who this Wednesday in Congress claimed that "may be a dog", in reference to the nickname Perro Sanxe, but that "he has no master". Ayuso has argued that Sánchez has had an attitude of "vassalage" towards Morocco. The leader of the Madrid PP has accused Sánchez of "treason" and has denounced that Spain is "an invaded nation". "There are documents that incriminate him for doing nothing in the face of the warning of an invasion by Morocco. We will see the judicial path this takes," she stressed.

Ayuso has contrasted the "decomposition" she attributes to the Spanish government with the "great political and institutional stability" of Madrid and continued her speech by announcing "100 new measures" with which she intends to cover up the crisis over the purchase of the penthouse. A matter in which the opposition, which will not intervene in the plenary session until tomorrow, has already taken care to recall in previous interventions before the media. Más Madrid and the PSOE have demanded Ayuso's resignation over this episode and a bus with the Más Madrid logo drove in front of the Madrid Assembly during the morning with the face of the Madrid president and the phrase 'For you the impossible rent, for her the luxury penthouse'.
