Chris Martin jokes about the kiss cam after the controversy with Andy Byron
The Coldplay singer assures that the camera will continue to be present at his concerts.

BarcelonaColdplay has made headlines this summer after, at one of her concerts, the kiss cam focused on businessman Andy Byron with his lover and the two abruptly stepped away when they saw they were caught. Taking advantage of the controversy, the group's singer, Chris Martin, has continued to make light of the performances. At a concert at Britain's Wembley Stadium on Friday, a fan signaled to the camera to focus on him because he wanted to propose to his companion. "Okay, mate, but first we'll have to follow a security protocol. Nod if you think it's okay," joked the singer, clearly referring to Byron's criticism for having focused on him without prior permission.
A few days earlier, at another concert in Kingston upon Hull, Martin thanked the audience for "coming back after the debacle" and made it clear that the kiss cam will continue to be used on their tours, although Byron explicitly requested its removal. "We've been using it for a long time and we'll continue to do so because we want to meet you," the Coldplay singer defended. Meanwhile, Andy Byron has resigned from his position as CEO of Astronomer. The company has gone to great lengths to address the controversy, even hiring Martin's ex-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, for an image-cleansing campaign.
