Who is right?

The reasons of those who do not want to welcome migrants, minors or half-minors, are logical. The ones everyone says in private. "We have enough problems". And they are right.

The reasons of the president of Ceuta are logical. "If you don't welcome them, I will, and I can't take any more. I don't have room for them". And he is right.

The reasons of those who, theoretically, do want to welcome them are humanitarian and legal. "No, no ma'am. They cannot be returned with a kick in the ass. Yes, yes ma'am, the detention center is full. No, no sir, they cannot be left there forever until they starve to death".

The reasons of communities like the Catalan one for setting conditions are logical. There are already many in Catalonia. School, as we understood it until now, before the migratory phenomenon, no longer serves us. Public services are in collapse. The language is disappearing. And they are right.

The reasons of the far-right are logical, within the logic of the far-right. In some circles, there is no cause with as much consensus as not wanting to "welcome" North Africans. For such a cause, a government can fall, yum! And they are right that it can.

The reasons of the migrants are logical. They have deceived us, they have used us, we thought that. We are not leaving now. Where do we go?

And above all, the reasons of our heart are logical. Reasons, prejudices, fears... We don't find them young enough, helpless enough, humble enough to make us feel the necessary pity. We find them haughty, brazen, violent, scoundrels, hustlers, sharp, impulsive, not adorable enough, not sweet at all, threatening, pimps, too religious. And are we right? And do our reasons or un-reasons make any sense?
