Orgasmic gap and male privileges

Feminism is the challenge to male power established thanks to a structure of systematic and organized violence called patriarchy. The male sapiens woke up one day and, contradicting the evidence he could observe with his own eyes, decided that he was superior to his female counterparts. The root of this bizarre idea is, I am sure, the fragility of the male ego. One only has to see the behavior of some gentlemen here and now. Not those from the caves, but those who consider themselves evolved, cultured, and educated, who, despite having enjoyed the numerous advantages given to them by the fraternity of those who carry dangling gonads, also feel wounded at the slightest provocation, and the women who have the misfortune of living with them must walk on eggshells so as not to injure the most sensitive part of male anatomy: the ego, which is affected by any insignificant breeze that brushes against it. That is why statistics on our sex life continue to yield surprising data in times of emancipation and freedom and blah-blah-blah: it turns out that seven out of ten women fake orgasms.

Still! In 2026! What sense does it make to participate in a sexual relationship and not only not be satisfied but also make the colleague in question believe that everything went wonderfully? What sense can it have beyond that of not causing self-esteem problems for the bedfellow (or of whatever space it may be)? Why should we protect the self-love of a bad lover in times when, with a click, one can access a huge amount of information about sexuality and puritanical morality is no longer dominant? To many of these gentlemen, it still seems that our orgasms are a kind of unfathomable mystery, when, in fact, they offer possibilities infinitely superior to those held by simple ejaculators. Part of the problem must be that they do not move beyond the phallocentric scheme and do not explore other paths of pleasure scattered throughout the extensive female erogenous map. I still remember an article by Montserrat Roig mentioned by her biographer in which, with the patience of a pedagogue, she explained that the cunt is not just a hole. And that was in the seventies!

Having to be responsible for the fragility of the male ego is a very heavy burden: as if we didn't have enough to do with our own stuff, our pleasure, our well-being, our education, our professional careers, our children, our parents, our friends, and our loved ones. On top of that, we have to ensure that the male of the moment doesn't feel incompetent or hurt. And we do it for one of the firmest pillars of the patriarchy: unconditional and selfless love that demands neither reciprocity nor equal treatment. What a scam!

For all this, feminism is a daily practice, a constant and fierce defense of the spaces we are gaining. Every time I see a woman breaking through the reinforced concrete ceilings they put on us, I imagine everything she must have endured to get there. Surely many men born with huge privileges still have the nerve to attribute the progress of educated and talented women to positive discrimination. They have never complained about the systematic positive discrimination with which they were born and which has allowed them to occupy positions of privilege whether or not they are qualified for the job. These pachydermic characters who walk around with their flaccid trunks in the upper echelons of organizations must feel very satisfied benefiting from the sexist power they have inherited, but for society as a whole, they are a poisonous blight: they destroy the talent of those who cannot reach those positions because of the bottleneck they create and, therefore, they increase the general levels of mediocrity. And on top of that, many of them are not even capable of causing a simple orgasm. I'm not even talking about a multiple one that seems to never end, no, not even one as basic as the one they usually have.
