Empar Moliner with her cat Tell in her home studio, Castellbell i el Vilar

For this low-impact but very healthy exercise, you'll need the following equipment:

– A bed with the appropriate sheets.

– A cat, preferably a baby. Two, even better.

Get ready to change the sheets and pillows on the bed, as well as—now it's time—put on the duvet cover. Make the usual gesture of throwing the clothes that will go into the washing machine on the floor. The cat, seeing the movement, will give a quick little jump and land on top of the mattress. Continue working as if it weren't there. If the cat is on top of the new sheet and needs to stretch, stretch. If the cat jumps into the air with the stretching, don't worry, it will land on its feet (on top of the clothes on the floor). When you put the top sheet on, be cool. If the cat stays in the middle, like the ham in a sandwich, ignore it. When they want to leave and destroy whatever you've been ironing with your hands, give them a completely useless shout. When the other cat arrives—if applicable—and mistakes you for an enemy, pull again, with the aim of tossing them. Pull them out, again and again, from inside the duvet cover. Iron again the little path of paws left in the quilt and iron again when they pass by again (as many times as necessary). Do this outside the pillows. Graciously remove them from the middle and place them where they are; they won't take a second to return to where the fun is. Stir them up when they decide to fight, jumping from nightstand to nightstand. Breathe. When they fall asleep in the middle of the mess, the exercise will be over, and we'll move on to the next station: sweeping with the cat.
