Among the training offerings that will be launched next year, the creation of new degrees focused on training talent in very specific work fields and in innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence, stands out.
News for the 2025/2026 academic year
Degree in International Hotel Management (CETT-UB)
With the hotel industry increasingly moving toward a digital, sustainable, and international future, this new degree aims to offer up-to-date and practical training to fit in. Students will learn to manage teams, optimize resources, and lead innovative projects, with the goal of transforming the sector from a responsible and global perspective.
Degree in Marketing, Events and Entertainment (CETT-UB)
When launched, it will be the only degree in Spain that integrates two of the most dynamic and promising areas. On the one hand, companies and organizations in the events and entertainment sector, which require professionals with a technological, innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial profile, are in demand. On the other, marketing, communication, and content, where there is a high demand for candidates with a university education.
Open degree (CETT-UB)
This program will provide the opportunity to combine subjects from different CETT-UB degree programs to offer a more interdisciplinary approach. Students will be able to earn 60 credits by combining subjects from four different degree programs: a degree in Tourism; a degree in Marketing, Events, and Entertainment; a degree in International Hotel Management; and a degree in Digital Business and Innovation.
Double degree in Economics and Computational Mathematics and Data Analytics (UAB)
It will offer comprehensive training to address and analyze economic problems such as the functioning of financial markets, income distribution, global poverty, and the sustainability of current economic growth models. It will be taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business.
Online Degree in Sustainability Management, Digital Transformation and Environment (UOC)
This academic program encompasses the three key pillars of an epochal change: the climate emergency, accelerated socio-environmental transformation, and the impact of digitalization, with the need to make management, production, exchange, and consumption more sustainable. Throughout the program, students will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills to address the challenges of a constantly evolving world.
Joint Bachelor's Degree in Software Development and Testing (UOC)
With this training, delivered entirely in English, students will master software development, from conceptualization to implementation, testing, and maintenance. The degree responds to the growing demand for experts in this field. This is the UOC's first official international degree, offered in collaboration with the Open University of the Netherlands (OUNL) and the National University of Distance Education (UNED) within the framework of the OpenEU alliance.
Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (LaSalle-URL)
With this degree, students will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of AI so they can tackle complex challenges and lead innovations. They will explore areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics, enabling them to understand and apply AI in a wide variety of contexts.
Degree in Business and Artificial Intelligence (Esade-URL)
The degree will provide students with the knowledge to understand the rapidly changing landscape of business and AI. It will also equip them with the skills to navigate and make the most of this complex intersection, empowering them to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Degree in Design for Food Systems (UVic-UCC)
It will train students with an interdisciplinary background capable of critical thinking from a design perspective on food systems and sustainability, spanning from the primary sector to the final product or service. This degree aims to address the food industry's challenges by preparing professionals who integrate creative knowledge from design, gastronomy, food, and sustainability.
Degree in Nursing (UAO)
Abat Oliva University (UAO) offers this new degree program, characterized by three pillars: a humanistic approach to studies, the possibility of taking courses in small groups of 40 students, and a personalized teaching methodology that adapts to each student's learning needs.
Degree in Communication and Creation of Digital Content (UAO)
The degree responds to the transformation of the communications sector in the digital age. This program will train students to create content for digital platforms, develop marketing strategies, analyze data, and manage online communities. With a focus on digital skills, multimedia storytelling, and advanced technological tools, the degree will train professionals prepared to face the challenges of a constantly evolving media environment.
Degrees that are renewed for the 2025/2026 academic year
Degree in Chemistry (UB)
In line with deepening the University of Barcelona's collaboration with organizations and companies, the incorporation of this dual degree program seeks to give Chemistry students the option of working on their final-year subjects in a work environment. "It will allow them to improve their skills acquisition process and facilitate successful entry into the labor market upon completion of their studies," notes the UB. The university will also offer dual degrees in the degrees offered by the affiliated CETT center.
Degree in Statistics (UB)
The degree has been adapted to the changing needs of the working world, with the addition of subjects that have gained importance with recent advances in data science. The changes will allow for greater specialization in areas such as biosciences, finance, andmachine learningand scientific research.
Degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources (UB)
Within the discipline, two major employment areas are contemplated: performing the duties of social science graduates and working in human resources departments or units. To align with this, the degree offers three new pathways: human resources, labor law, and independent study.
Degree in Communication and Cultural Industries (UB)
Changes are incorporated into the degree curriculum, with the aim of adapting it to the new operational and functional environments that have emerged in the communicative and sociocultural panorama as a result of the impact of major drivers of digital transformation such as social media, data science or artificial intelligence.
Degree in Biomedical Sciences (UPF)
It replaces the Human Biology degree. The change responds to the need to adapt the degree to the legal requirement for affiliation with a specific field of knowledge, in this case, biomedicine. Furthermore, the basic training subjects will have a minimum credit load of six credits and will be distributed equally between the first and second years.
Degree in Computational Audiovisual (UPF)
It replaces the Audiovisual Systems Engineering degree. In a world where the processing and transmission of sound and images play an increasingly important role, digital and telecommunication technologies require highly qualified engineers to meet the challenges of an interconnected society. The degree will train versatile, creative, and competitive professionals with the ability to conceive and design innovative audio, video, and multimedia systems.
Nursing Degree in Tremp (UdL)
Twenty students will be able to pursue a Nursing degree in Tremp and complete internships at Primary Care Centers in the six regions of the Pyrenees and at four hospitals in the area. This will be another group of students from the Nursing degree program at the Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy at the University of Lleida.
Nursing Degree (UVic-UCC)
In the 2025-2026 academic year, the Nursing degree from the San Juan de Dios Teaching Campus (CDSJD), currently affiliated with UVic-UCC, will begin to be offered as a UVic-UCC degree. Thus, students who begin their studies next academic year will be the first to receive an official UVic-UCC degree upon completion.
Degree in Bioengineering (UIC)
The degree will focus on internationalization and will be taught entirely in English. From now on, students of the Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering at UIC Barcelona will have the opportunity to complete extracurricular internships starting in their first year at multinational companies and leading international institutions in the sector.
Degree in Education (UIC)
Thanks to a new agreement with Westcliff University, students will be able to earn a dual international degree in four years, completing three courses at UIC Barcelona and a fourth in California. This experience will allow them to develop key skills in a global educational environment, improve their English proficiency, and gain firsthand knowledge of the American education system.
