The third weekend of May has confirmed the good feelings that were already intuited in rehearsals, with various groups taking a step forward and, in some cases, advancing schedules. The squares of Valls, Vilafranca, and Gràcia have been the great epicenters of a weekend that already leaves the first notable achievements of the season.

La Jove de Tarragona notches the earliest 3d9f in its history

In Gràcia, the Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona has delivered a high-voltage performance. The lilas have unloaded the earliest 3d9f in their history, a milestone that reaffirms the lilas' excellent start to the season. The performance was completed with the debut of the 5d8, as well as a solid 2d8f and the 6-story pillar, which is already showing signs of growing one more level in the coming weeks. Those from Cós del Bou shared the stage with the Capgrossos de Mataró, who completed the 2d7, 4d8, and 7d7, and with the Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia. The hosts scored the 3d8, the 2d8f, and the first 7d8 of the season. They finished, this time successfully, by unloading the 6-story pillar.

The Castellers de Vilafranca debut the 4d9f

In Vilafranca del Penedès, the May Fairs have maintained the expected level. The Castellers de Vilafranca have shown potential with the second 3d9f of the year and the debut of the 4d9f, which confirms that the 'verdes' (greens) now have their two basic 9s ready. They completed the performance with the 4d8a and a notable 7-level pillar with folro, the first seen this season in the squares. The day also featured the participation of the Xicots de Vilafranca, who unloaded the 5d7, the 3d7a, and the 4d7a.

The earliest 2d7 from Xiquets del Serrallo

It was an important day for the people of the fishing neighborhood and so it has been. The Xiquets del Serrallo responded by unloading the 5d7, the earliest 2d7 in their history, and the 7d7, after a dismantled attempt. Alongside them, the Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls maintained the basic range line of 8 with the 4d8, the 3d8, and the 2d7, in addition to the 5d7 and the 6-level pillar, the first of the season. A performance that those in the red shirt repeated this Sunday in El Milà, with the same records except for the 5d7.
