Jaecoo 5, the eco-friendly SUV that makes you sing and takes care of your dog

Jaecoo is one of the Chery Group's brands with the greatest potential in Europe. While Omoda is targeting a modern, urban customer profile, and Ebro is playing the local emotional card, Jaecoo aims to focus on the SUV buyer segment with off-road adventures and a family-oriented approach.

Jaecoo 5 is a 4.38-meter-long and 1.65-meter-high SUV with a geometric and very marked body, which maintains the aesthetic line of the Jaecoo 7 that the brand has already been selling in Europe for a few months. Unlike its older brother in the range, the new Jaecoo 5 aims to attack the European compact SUV segment, where it will have to compete with real market heavyweights such as the Nissan Qashqai, the Kia Sportage, the Seat Ateca, the Volkswagen Tiguan or the Peugeot 3008. To make its mark on the market. mechanics, since it will offer an entry-level version with a 145 hp gasoline engine associated with a seven-speed automatic transmission, but it will also have a 100% electric version with more than 400 kilometers of autonomy and will end with a conventional hybrid version that will combine the combustion engine and an electric2 to offer a bottle1.

The Jaecoo 5's interior is one of its distinguishing features, offering more rear-seat space than most of its rivals, with a width of 1.49 meters. Although the brand has not yet confirmed pricing for the Jaecoo 5, everything suggests that the base gasoline-powered version will be priced at around €28,000 or €29,000, while the electric version will rise above €35,000.
