BarcelonaThe new installment of the program The thing about Évole has led to a stir in the gossip press portals. This Sunday, the singer Dani Martin has spoken with Jordi Évole to talk about his professional career in El Canto del Loco, the sudden death of his sister, his current personal situation and, in between, there has also been time to confirm one of the rumors that were most heard in the early 2000s: his relationship with the singer Amaia Montero, former vocalist of La Oreja de Van Gogh.

Without looking at each other, they stood in front of each other, separated by a table ready to start preparing a barbecue. "Do you have contact with Amaia?" the journalist asks while standing up, cutting a piece of meat. "Yes, I appreciate her a lot," he nods confidently. "Our families have a very beautiful and loving bond," he continued, still without looking up at Évole. Then Évole asked the question that many asked themselves at the beginning of the 2000s, a rumor that became even more evident after the singer and Amaia released the song "Amazing." Could be.

"Did you ever have something?" he blurted out. "Yes, we had a moment of encounter," he answered without thinking too much. To take the edge off the matter he had just revealed, Évole changed the subject and explained that he believed the media had been very cruel to the singer, who in April 2020 left her solo career due to a "severe case of stress and anxiety" that forced her to enter a specialized health clinic.

"But people love her very much," the interviewee added, explaining, now looking at the journalist, that he was very happy when she returned to the stage by surprise last July at a Karol G concert. "Amaia Montero is more of a rocker and more of a punk than the Vanguard of the court that I have known."
