BarcelonaIt is a news story of global reach that appears in headlines around the world and also in newspapers such as The Country, The Vanguard and ARA, but no right-wing Madrid newspaper has it on its front page. We're talking about Donald Trump's offensive against media outlets critical of him and, of course, also against comedians and presenters who dare to laugh in his face. The cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel's show on ABC has caused an earthquake in the United States, and this is what newspapers such as New York Times, he Washington Post and Los Angeles Times. And, as we were saying, The Country ("Trump launches offensive against critical media"), The Vanguard ("Trump's new blow to freedom of expression with the dismissal of a critical journalist") and the ARA ("Trump accelerates the political persecution of dissent").

Neither The World, nor theAbc neither The reason They seem to give it the same importance, and opt for anti-Sanchez headlines. The World and theAbc They are making the mistake of using bracelets that locate attackers. The reason, for its part, opts for a report by the People's Party (PP) on the European Union that criticizes the Spanish government's policy toward judges. The choice of these main headlines is completely legitimate and journalistically justifiable, but it is strange that newspapers that boast of defending freedom of expression and the need to be critical of power in their editorials ignore the attack on press freedom (and freedoms in general) that is taking place in the United States. So much so that they do not dedicate even a measly front-page summary to it. In fact, in The World The entire front page is filled with anti-Sanchez themes, all without exception, and it is clear that nothing that happened in the world on Thursday had sufficient news relevance for them.
