BarcelonaLola Casademunt, one of the benchmark Catalan fashion brands, celebrated its 45th anniversary this Wednesday with a fashion show at Barcelona's Llotja de Mar, where it presented the spring-summer 2027 collection, a proposal greatly inspired by the city's spirit. "La Joya [collection name] aims to pay homage to Barcelona, the city that is part of our DNA and has inspired us for 45 years. The architecture, the light, the colors, and this unique blend of tradition, art, and modernity have guided the entire collection," explains Maite Casademunt, president and creative director of Lola Casademunt.

The celebration was attended by well-known faces with close ties to the brand, such as Veronica Blume, Vanesa Lorenzo, Rossy de Palma, Antonia Dell'Atte, and Boris Izaguirre. All these celebrities were able to get a first-hand look at the new collection, which has "the desire to convey a powerful, sophisticated, and profoundly Mediterranean femininity".

The architecture of Barcelona is very present in the pieces that Lola Casademunt proposes for next spring-summer season. On one hand, they have structured and enveloping silhouettes and, on the other, they play with prints that recall the city's modernist stained glass.

This Wednesday's fashion show was the first act of a celebration that will extend over time and will have other manifestations. Among other things, the firm will launch a special edition of a selection of pieces. The selection represents the brand's most own universe, both in terms of shapes, prints, and details. In addition, its distinctive codes will be reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective.

Created in 1981 by Lola Casademunt, who died in 2024, the Catalan firm is a prime example of evolution. Casademunt started the project when she was widowed with four children and, initially, it was a small workshop for hair accessories. The company grew to become a benchmark firm in the women's fashion sector with a presence in 46 international markets. In 2018, the incorporation of Maite Casademunt as creative director has given a new impetus to the company.
