The Institute of Catalan Studies will become National Academy

The Institute for Catalan Studies will be considered a National Academy by the Parliament. It is a symbolic recognition as the country's highest institution. The IEC will continue to be a public law corporation with a private base, with autonomy, public funding, and direct dialogue with the Presidency.
