Asturias debates the official status of Asturian and Eonaviego

The Asturian General Council will begin debating on Thursday the declaration of official status of Asturian and Eonaviego (Asturian Galician). The initiative is from the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party), Convocatoria por Asturias (Convocation for Asturias), and the mixed group (23 votes), opposed by the PP, Vox, and Foro Asturias (22). A total of 27 votes would be required to reform the Statute of Autonomy.
