The United Kingdom strengthens its nuclear capabilities with 12 new F-35A fighters.

London has announced the purchase of 12 nuclear-capable F-35A fighter jets, which will be integrated into the NATO mission. The aircraft, which can carry conventional weapons, represent "the largest reinforcement of Britain's nuclear deterrent in a generation," Downing Street reported.
