Iran restores SMS services within the country nine days after blocking them

The Iranian government restored SMS messaging between domestic phones on Saturday, after blocking it for nine days as part of a communications blackout aimed at quelling the wave of protests against the regime. However, SMS messaging abroad and internet access remain prohibited.
