Found dead in Paris the man who recruited girls in Barcelona for Jeffrey Epstein

BarcelonaDaniel Siad, suspected recruiter of victims for the sexual exploitation network of American pederast Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead this Monday on the outskirts of Paris, where he resided. According to the newspaper Le Parisien,the most likely cause of death is cardiac arrest. His flatmate, a 28-year-old woman, found the lifeless body of the sexagenarian on the kitchen floor of their apartment in Colombes, northeast of Paris. The judiciary has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death.

Siad, 69 years old and of Franco-Algerian origin, worked as a model agent. His name appears more than 2,000 times in documents from the Epstein case, declassified this year by the US Department of Justice, which place him as one of the main facilitators of Epstein's sex network in Europe. Said was responsible for recruiting young women – and, in some cases, minors – for the American tycoon, as evidenced by numerous conversations recovered from Skype and WhatsApp.

The Parisian plot

Paris was one of the main nerve centers of the scheme. Epstein owned a luxurious apartment at 22 Foch Avenue in the French capital, from where, according to investigators, he coordinated part of his network. Following this, the French Public Prosecutor's Office opened investigations – in which Siad was listed as a suspect – into the possible ramifications of the case in the country, both with regard to possible sexual crimes and possible financial offenses. But he rejected the accusations and even said he wanted to be summoned to testify to give his version of events.

Before settling in Paris, Siad established himself in Barcelona in April 2017. According to declassified documents, the modeling agent turned the Catalan capital into one of the epicenters of sexual recruitment for the scheme. The man acted as a facilitator of girls – preferably under 25 years old – for the American billionaire, to whom he sent photos and videos of the victims. "I have different models camped out in my 35 m² apartment," Siad himself wrote to Epstein in 2017, and then announced that he would send him photos. He did this for more than two years, until Epstein's arrest in July 2019.

Furthermore, Siad had been accused of rape on several occasions and by several women. One of the most significant is that of former Swedish model Ebba Karlsson. She claims she met Siad in 1990, when she was 20 years old, and that he convinced her to go to France with promises of a successful modeling career. When she arrived, he raped her in a villa near Cannes. It wasn't until February 2026, after photographs linked to Epstein's archives were published, that Karlsson says she recognized him and filed a complaint with the French justice system.

Another of those involved in the Epstein case, Jean-Luc Brunel, identified Siad to investigators as an "observer" and "recruiter of girls and women for Epstein." Siad always denied any involvement in the case and publicly described himself as a "family man."
