Berlin reforms military service law to increase the number of soldiers

Berlin approved a new voluntary military service today, aiming to recruit up to 40,000 young men a year in response to Russian "aggression," Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said. The plan will go into effect in January and requires 18-year-old men to declare their availability.
