At least 13 dead and 86 injured in a massive attack on Ukraine's major cities
The Kremlin has launched various waves of missiles and suicide drones
BarcelonaA massive Russian attack on major Ukrainian cities has caused at least 13 deaths and 86 injuries in residential areas overnight, particularly in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa, the hardest-hit locations. The attack began shortly after two in the morning local time, with strong explosions felt in two waves in the capital, where, according to emergency services, four people (including a 12-year-old child) died and 48 more were injured. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, stated that among the injured are children and four medical personnel.
The attacks did not stop with sunrise: early in the morning, while emergency teams were still clearing debris from the night attack, air raid sirens were reactivated in Kyiv and a Russian drone impacted an apartment building. Missiles and drones have caused damage in several city neighborhoods. In the Podilsk district, a non-residential building received a direct hit, and other areas were affected by debris from shot-down missiles.
