There are places where time stretches on, where days are measured not by hours but by light, aromas, and silence. The Empordà is one of those places. This land between the sea and the mountains invites you to live slowly, to savor every kilometer, every moment.
Starting a bike route through the Empordà countryside is like opening an old book full of stories. Rural roads wind through wheat fields, vineyards, and stone farmhouses, while the wind caresses the sunflowers and fills you with the scent of pines and wild lavender. The wheels move unhurriedly. Here, there is no place for haste.
The villages that dot the landscape—Peratallada, Palau-Sator, Gualta—seem suspended in time. In the squares, neighbors chat without looking at their watches, and the terraces invite you to pause for a coffee or a glass of DO Empordà wine. It's a simple life, yes, but one filled with richness that can only be discovered when one lets oneself be carried away by the rhythm of one's surroundings.
As the journey progresses eastward, the terrain becomes more rugged and the air is permeated with the saltiness of the Mediterranean. Serene. The sea, immense and blue, merges with the sky on the horizon. With oneself. An invitation to live more slowly, more consciously, more freely. The first ten cyclists who demonstrate with the GPS in the Castelli Girona store that they have done it and upload a photo or story On Instagram from the Punta Ventosa viewpoint, on the cliffs of Montgrí (in the Montgó area) mentioning @castellistore_girona will receive a gift!
