BarcelonaConsolidating the impact of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) beyond the days of this trade fair in Barcelona, the most important in the audiovisual sector, which began today, Tuesday, and runs until this Friday, is the objective behind the creation of the ISE Foundation, in which the Barcelona City Council and the Catalan Government participate. It is a similar model to the one established following the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Mobile World Capital Barcelona, in which the Spanish government also participates.

The owners of ISE, Avixa (the association for the audiovisual industry) and Cedia (the association of professionals for smart homes), are the other members of this foundation, which will focus on talent development, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as social responsibility. The announcement of this initiative was made during a press conference in Barcelona on the first day of ISE 2026 at the Fira de Barcelona, with the participation of representatives from the sector and institutions, and under the slogan Powering on, togetherThe ISE Foundation is being created "to ensure that the impact generated by ISE in Barcelona extends beyond the days of the trade fair. Through its own structure, the Foundation brings together initiatives already developed by ISE at the local level, while also enabling the launch of new programs throughout the year with a long-term vision." Details regarding the contributions of the members have not yet been released. "The creation of the ISE Foundation is a natural step in the evolution of our commitment to Barcelona, Catalonia, its people, and the audiovisual industry," stated Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE). "The impact of ISE on the Catalan audiovisual sector is undeniable, and the Catalan Government has joined forces with the Foundation's founders because we want this impact to be permanent and sustainable," explained the Minister of Business, Miquel Sàmper. For her part, Raquel Gil, Deputy Mayor of Barcelona, emphasized the city's commitment to conferences like ISE, which "are committed to Barcelona and understand that it is not just a venue where things happen, but a living ecosystem that helps them grow as the city itself grows."

Through its planned lines of action, the foundation aims to "contribute to reducing skills gaps in the audiovisual sector, support emerging ideas and technologies, and generate a long-term impact for local communities and institutions linked to its industry," according to the ISE.

The foundation's talent initiatives begin by supporting teachers through the program Training the trainerswhich will equip teachers with modern audiovisual skills aligned with industry standards. A pilot project carried out in Catalonia in July 2025 with 14 trainers demonstrated that this model is effective and scalable. Building on this success, the Foundation will expand its collaborations with up to 150 institutions and adopt the curricula of Avixa and Cedia to prepare the next generation of audiovisual professionals, among other initiatives.

In the area of innovation, the ISE Foundation will support start-ups and new ideas by facilitating access to funding, mentorship, and industry connections. The Foundation will also develop social responsibility initiatives throughout the year in collaboration with local institutions.
