The Bon Preu Group closes 2025 with €2,611 million in turnover, almost 8% more
The company invested 150 million last year
BarcelonaThe Bon Preu Group closed the 2025 financial year, which ended on February 28, with a global turnover of 2,611.5 million euros, representing a 7.9% growth compared to the previous year, as reported this Monday. The group achieved these sales with the sum of its three business lines: Bonpreu and Esclat stores and sales through BonpreuEsclat online; fuels under the EsclatOil brand; and green energy marketed by BonpreuEsclat Energia.
During the 2025 financial year, the Osona-based company invested a total of 150 million euros, intended to continue expanding the commercial network throughout Catalonia; to renovate existing stores to incorporate new services and sections; and to strengthen logistics and other strategic projects. In fact, the Bon Preu Group has invested 1,346 million euros in the last decade.
Regarding commercial expansion, the company inaugurated three new Esclat stores in Cunit, L'Ametlla de Mar, and Mollerussa in 2025; two Bonpreu stores in Barcelona and Terrassa-Matadepera; two minimarkets in Reus and Terrassa-Matadepera; and four new EsclatOil petrol stations in La Seu d'Urgell, L'Ametlla de Mar, Anglès, and Terrassa-Matadepera. Furthermore, it also expanded the online purchase collection service points, now exceeding a coverage of six million people, and opened new online collection centers throughout Catalonia, reaching 30.
For 2026, the company continues with its expansion plan focused on Catalonia, and has already opened four supermarkets: two Bonpreu stores, in Terrassa and Cervelló, and two Esclat stores, one in Riera Blanca, Barcelona, and another in Badalona. For the last quarter of the year (September-December), it plans to open two Bonpreu stores, in Cerdanyola del Vallès and in the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona, and three more Esclat stores, one in Sabadell, one in Castellar del Vallès, and one in Palafolls, the latter two with an annexed EsclatOil petrol station. It also plans to launch an EsclatOil with a minimarket in Pallejà.
Sustainability
One of the group's objectives is to reduce and neutralize its carbon footprint to be a neutral company by 2050. To achieve this, it promotes different initiatives, such as proximity, reduction of packaging, promotion of recycling and against food waste, as well as the production of photovoltaic energy for self-consumption, with 84 photovoltaic installations, 12 of which were launched during the 2025 financial year.
