Transport Minister Óscar Puente announced this Sunday in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) a deal worth more than 2.8 billion euros for Renfe to continue as the operator of the high-speed rail project in Mecca for another five years, until 2038, and the purchase of 20 Talgo trains.
