Molins will land in the United States with an urban furniture factory.
The Catalan family group will open a plant in Oklahoma for its subsidiary Escofet.

BarcelonaIn the midst of the tariff war, Molins is betting on the US market. The construction company will open a factory in Oklahoma, where it will produce concrete urban furniture. It will do so through its subsidiary Escofet, which it incorporated in early 2021. The new plant is expected to create 50 jobs.
The company is entering the United States with the aim of accelerating growth in the country. Currently, the market represents 6% of Escofet's turnover, and with the opening of the factory, it expects to reach 30%. Furthermore, the expansion should serve to reduce delivery times.
Molins, based in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, will also build a new plant in Spain, at a location yet to be determined. In this case, it will be dedicated to precast concrete solutions and will specialize in industrialized housing. According to the company, the facility will triple the group's current production capacity, which will increase from 1,200 homes per year to 3,000. The prefabricated business accounted for 16% of its 2024 turnover, at approximately €218 million. The factory will require the hiring of approximately 80 workers. It currently has more than 70 production centers in Spain.
In an effort to strengthen its prefabricated solutions business, the group has acquired the Portuguese company Concremat, a transaction that marks its entry into the Portuguese market. Until now, Molins was present in Croatia, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Turkey, Tunisia, Bangladesh, and India. Headquartered in Lisbon, Concremat has two production centers and a workforce of 110 employees. It had a turnover of €52 million in 2024. This acquisition, together with the construction of new plants in Spain and the United States, represents a combined investment of €100 million.
