GrandVoyage jumps almost 20% in its stock market debut
The Barcelona-based digital travel agency makes the leap to BME Scaleup with a valuation of 16 million
BarcelonaGrandVoyage, the travel agency specializing in long-haul trips, made its debut on the Barcelona Stock Exchange this Monday with the ringing of the opening bell. Shares surged 19.75% on Monday in their debut on BME Scaleup, reaching €3.76 per share at midday, compared to the reference price of €3.14 per share, giving a total valuation of €16 million at the opening. The company has joined BME Scaleup, the index for expanding or high-growth companies (scaleupsThe digital travel agency aims to accelerate its international expansion, especially in Latin America. It will also strengthen its investments in technology. The Barcelona-based company was founded in 2012 and specializes in long-haul travel and personalized experiences. Suma Capital holds a 33% stake among its shareholders. This transaction facilitates the exit of the fund that invested in the company. Since its inception, the agency, founded and led by Arvin Abarca, has experienced sustained growth and diversified its portfolio into Asia, Africa, and the Americas. This year, it opened an office in Bogotá, Colombia. Its revenue in 2023 was €17 million, with a profit of nearly €1 million. Currently, the agency offers more than 70 destinations and 400 customizable itineraries, geared towards clients with medium to high purchasing power.
