BarcelonaThe Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona is the next stop on Rosalía's Lux tour on April 13, 15, 17, and 18. On this ambitious tour, a truly immense leap in scale, the artist from Sant Esteve Sesrovires is not alone. This time, she has surrounded herself with trusted artists and new collaborators who are combining talents in a show that is making history.

Pilar Vila Tobella

Rosalía and her sister Pili share the creative direction of the Luxtour. Pilar Vila Tubella, Pili, is more than Rosalía's right-hand woman. Only the two of them know 100% what the aesthetic references are that are displayed on the tour that began in Lyon on March 16, both those proposed by themselves and those of the different stage and costume collaborators. There are more or less obvious ones, such as La Gioconda, by Leonardo da Vinci (with Montserrat as a background landscape), The Witches' Sabbath, by Goya, Degas' dancers, the nineties Madonna, Rita Hayworth in the film Gilda, Eva Green in The Dreamers and Natalie Portman in Black Swan. Others enter the realm of speculation, a game with the audience that Rosalía fosters by remaining silent about the creation of the show, although some collaborators have spoken about it more or less explicitly, such as the fashion designers Vivascarrion, who in their piece were inspired by the headdresses of the ladies of the 16th century court. The image of Lux also includes the stylist from Tarragona Jose Carayol, the Peruvian designer Fernanda Castro, the Belgian firm Anne Demeulemeester and the Madrid-based milliner Rafa Penador, among others.

Terrible Studio

This Barcelona-based creative studio is responsible for the stage direction of the tour. The relationship with Rosalía goes back a long way, as they already designed the staging for the festival tour of the album the festival tour of the album Motomami (2002), and for the performance at the Latin Grammy Awards in 2023. Terrivle Studio's resume includes work for Residente, Morad, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, Dellafuente, Tini, Israel Fernández, and Camila Cabello, among others. The Dutch designer Dennis Vanderbroeck, who previously collaborated on the album's preschool parties, such as the one held at the MNAC, also participates as an advisor in the scenic design for Lux's concerts. The stairs that appear in Rosalía's concerts recall a device that Vanderbroeck also used in the scenography of a production of Shakespeare's the scenography of a production of Coriolanus, by Shakespeare, directed by Nina Spijkers in Amsterdam in 2023.

Dimitris Papaioannou

Rosalía trusts the talent of her generation, but also in legends like the Greek artist Dimitris Papaioannou (Athens, 1964), who signs the brilliant choreography for La perla, one of the gems of the show. Rosalía is Gilda and the Venus de Milo surrounded by dancers. In the century of digital effects and immersive reality, Papaioannou plays with the elements of visual illusions, a universe common in his work, as was seen at the Grec Festival of Barcelona with the shows The great tamer in 2017, Tranverse orientation in 2021 and Ink in 2023. It goes without saying that the Greek creator's curriculum is impressive, including the opening and closing ceremonies of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.

(The)Horde

Founded by Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer and Arthur Harel, this French company has directed the National Ballet of Marseille since 2019, and is currently one of the European choreographic sensations. Rosalía got it right by having her carry the weight of the concert's stage movement, a movement torn in Berghain and delicate in the first third of the show. For the Lux tour, (La)Horde features dancers from the Marseille Ballet, such as Barcelona native Paula Tato and Belgian Antoine van der Linden, who participated in the show Age of contentwhich was performed at Mercat de les Flors and Festival Temporada Alta in 2024, or Jal Joshua, who had already danced with Rosalía on the Motomami tour. (La)Horde, which does not shy away from the political component in its creations, was one of the groups that cancelled their planned performance at Sónar in 2025 when it became known that the pro-Israeli fund KKR had acquired the festival.

Charm La'Donna

In addition to being open to new collaborators, Rosalía is also reconnecting with contacts from her past, such as the North American choreographer Charm La'Donna, with whom she worked on the movement for the concerts of El mal querer (2018). She was also instrumental in the music video for Con altura, which won a Grammy for best choreography. Charm La'Donna, born in Compton in 1988, was a dancer for artists like Madonna and Kendrick Lamar before establishing herself as a choreographer, with work for Bad Bunny (the 2026 Super Bowl performance), Dua Lipa, Meghan Trainor, Selena Gomez, and The Weeknd.

José Maya

José Maya (Madrid, 1983), one of the great names in current flamenco dance, collaborates on the Lux tour as a flamenco consultant, an essential figure to complete the choreographic universe that Rosalía unfolds. Maya began dancing in shows by Antonio Canales and Enrique Morente, and soon began to receive awards. He has collaborated with artists such as Tomatito, Vicente Amigo and Arcángel, and has undertaken ventures such as Color sin nombre, a show inspired by eight works by the painter Mark Rothko. "Like flamenco, Rothko's painting is based on tragedy, ecstasy, death, and is full of spirituality," Maya explained in the magazine Expo Flamenco. José Maya's harmony with Lux is quite evident, therefore.

Yudania Gómez Heredia

In the concerts of Lux, the Cuban composer and orchestra conductor Yudania Gómez Heredia (Santa Clara, 1994) leads the Heritage Orchestra, which is positioned in a Latin cross-shaped space in the center of the stage. She trained in Havana, where Juan Piñera was her composition teacher, and, above all, in Germany, where she studied sacred music at the University of Regensburg and choral conducting in Nuremberg. In this last city, in fact, she debuted as an orchestral conductor in 2022 with A Midsummer Night's Dream, and in 2025 she conducted Purcell's The Fairy Queen at the Stuttgart Opera. On the tour of Lux, she commands the musicians of the Heritage Orchestra, a British chamber ensemble created in 2024 and accustomed to collaborating with pop, rock, and jazz musicians such as Dua Lipa, Jamie Cullum, John Cale, The XX, and even Aphex Twin, the genius of experimental electronics. In other words, it is an orchestra with a great deal of experience in relating chamber sonorities, conveniently amplified and in some cases synthetically coded, with electronic sounds. For the tour, Rosalía has also included new arrangements, especially for strings, to accompany the songs from Motomami. What is not present is the participation of any choir (a central element in the album Lux). There are, however, two flamenco backing vocalists: the Andalusian Claudia Lachispa (who had previously collaborated with Rosalía) and the Madrid-born Aroa Fernández.

Llorenç Barceló

This manacorí trained at Taller de Músics, where he met Rosalía, was the trusted keyboardist of the Sant Esteve Sesrovires artist on the "Motomami" tour, even though he was practically invisible on stage. Llorenç Barceló, an expert in keyboards such as the Hammod organ and the Fender Rhodes, is one of the great talents of the Balearic and Catalan jazz scene, and at Lux concerts he has enough stage presence: he shares with Rosalía the performance of the song "Sauvignon blanc".

The confessants

The Lux tour has a very tight script, with few repertoire differences between concerts for now. So far, only the Lisbon performances have deviated from the script, where Rosalía shared Memória with Portuguese singer Carminho, a song she had not included in previous concerts. What does change is the person participating in the confessional booth prior to the performance of La perla, among whom have been singer Aitana, the influencer Marcelo Wang, footballer Kika Nazareth, and the youtuber Esty Quesada.
