Merche Mar, the last great star of the Paralelo, dies

Merche Mar, who made her debut at the iconic El Molino theatre in 1965 and is considered by many to be the last great star of the Paral·lel, has died of a stroke. A singer, dancer, pianist and accordionist, she was an iconic figure in the variety show and nightlife of the Paral·lel.
