In 2013, the first installment of Now he sees meHe proved with (debatable) success that magicians, that justifiably discredited guild, could possess a relative sex appealMore than a decade and two installments later, the four original Horsemen who started the saga see their legacy taken up by a trio of young people with teenage energy. Now he sees me 3 It depicts the clash between two generations who join forces to defeat the criminality embodied by a sadistic diamond magnate. Fleischer takes the helm and does his best in a film with some sparks of brilliance, which, in fact, starts off strong, but inevitably weakens when it abandons common sense and loses its coherent plot. Thus, what should have been an entertaining adventure becomes a confusing excursion involving Nazis and châteaux clandestine. Suddenly, everything becomes a catwalk of gossipy gags that leads to a escape room A ramshackle spectacle; a prestidigitation show that makes you wonder if a third installment was even necessary. Not even the powerful cast, complete with a holographic surprise, can save the show. The occult guerrilla movement gains new followers, but the trick is the same old thing. We see that illusionists can have a certain glamour, sure, but also that they'll never be superheroes.
