The Comédie-Française has announced that Carme Portaceli will direct the inaugural show of the 2026-2027 season with Les Bonnes (The Maids), by Jean Genet, at the Théâtre de l’Athénée, where Louis Jouvet premiered the play in 1947. Next year will be her last at the TNC and she will hand over to the new director.
