Melody's first words after Eurovision: "Things have been said that aren't true: I haven't kicked anyone out of the dressing room or suffered a family drama."

The Sevillian singer has stated that her disappearance after the festival was due to the need to be with her son.

BarcelonaIt took more than a week, but Melody, Spain's representative at Eurovision, wanted to talk today about her unsuccessful participation in the European song contest. After the Eurovision final, where it was placed in the penultimate position, the Sevillian decided to postpone the traditional press conference held by Spanish representatives and took refuge at home with her family. One of the reasons she gave for her temporary absence was the need to be with her one-year-old son, from whom she has been separated during the intense run-up to Eurovision. "I was very surprised by the commotion that has been generated. There's a lot of talk about work-life balance, and I'm surprised that it wasn't understood that I needed to be home with my baby for a few days. Things have been said that aren't true, like that I had kicked people out of the dressing room or that I've experienced a family drama."

The singer explained that days before Eurovision, she had already told her team and RTVE that she needed a few days off because she was exhausted after making the festival her priority. "I've been hurt by the disparaging comments some of my colleagues have made about me. There have been some programs that have laughed at the fact that I needed to go home to see my son. I don't like the double standard of talking about mental health and then making fun of the fact that I need to be home," she argued, referring to The revolt, a program to which she was invited and which she ended up not attending.
