Uruguayan military officer arrested in Spain on charges of human rights violations during dictatorship

Former Uruguayan colonel Eduardo Ferro, a fugitive from justice in Uruguay, has been arrested in the Valencian Country for alleged crimes during the country's dictatorship (1973-1985). He is being investigated for his role in the kidnapping and disappearance of communist militant Óscar Tassino, among others.
