Friday: few changes

The weather will remain divided into two parts today, Friday, with sunshine and calm in most regions, with some cloudy patches still remaining between the Barcelona coast and the northeast of the country. A few local and scattered showers are possible. The most likely showers are expected in the afternoon and evening between Maresme, Montseny, and the southern Costa Brava. Some showers will also fall between Mallorca and Menorca. The north winds and the mistral winds will blow moderately in the morning in the Empordà and Ebro regions, but will tend to clear away in the afternoon.

Temperatures will rise further, both day and night, although we will wake up with a very cool atmosphere early in the morning. Mild temperatures will occur in the middle of the day, with many highs of 18 to 24°C, lower in mountain areas. However, towards the west and south, it will be somewhat warmer, with values that may exceed 25°C in some cases.

Starting Sunday, the uncertainty is high. Instability appears to be increasing due to the arrival of moisture-laden maritime winds. Cloud cover is expected to be generally abundant, and showers are expected to increase, especially in the Ebro, Castellón, southern parts of Catalonia, and the western Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees.

All of this remains to be confirmed, but precipitation could increase in our Mediterranean region on Monday. These would be the indirect consequences of the former hurricane. Gabrielle, which would arrive in the form of a storm in the south and west of the Peninsula, bringing offshore winds and instability towards our home. Showers could even fall early in the week in the Valencian Community, Murcia, and Andalusia. However, it is still too early to confirm this, and the situation will need to be closely monitored. Maximum temperatures will remain more subdued.
