The temperature will rise at the start of a very pleasant week
The wind will be strong again in the central plateau and in the far south
BarcelonaThe storm Oriana It's now history after a Saturday and early Sunday with strong winds (you'll find more details about the wind at the end of this report), but Monday will again be marked by wind in some parts of the country. However, no windstorms like those of previous days are expected.
In the rest of the country, the weather will continue to be dominated by sunshine and intervals of high and mid-level clouds. There will be precipitation in the Pyrenees and a noticeable rise in temperature, which will also raise the snow level.
Monday: rising temperatures and snowfall in the western Pyrenees
The week will begin with fairly stable weather, with westerly winds driving up both minimum and maximum temperatures. In fact, the mercury may already reach 20 or 21°C in some areas, with a noticeably milder feel. This cooler temperature will cause the snow level to rise to 1,700 or 1,900 meters in the Pyrenees, where precipitation could be heavy, exceeding 40 centimeters of snow at higher elevations.
The wind will blow strongly in regions such as Anoia, Alt Penedès, Segarra, and Alt Camp, although it will affect many other areas along the southern coast and pre-coastal region, the Ponent region, and the Lleida region. In these areas, wind speeds could exceed 70 or 80 km/h, far from the gusts recorded last week.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with cooler highs
After Monday's warm spell, temperatures will drop slightly, although the weather will generally remain relatively mild. Intervals of high and mid-level clouds will persist, resulting in partly cloudy skies and only some precipitation in the northern half of the country. The snow level will initially be low, around 1,400 meters, but will rise throughout the day. Westerly winds will also continue, with strong gusts in the southern half of the country and moderate gusts elsewhere, in addition to the tramontana wind in the Empordà region.
