The Fabra Observatory of Barcelona exceeds 40 ºC and burns its absolute heat record

The Fabra Observatory in Barcelona has shattered its absolute heat record in over 113 years of data. The two stations at the observatory have reached 40.8 °C and 40.5 °C, surpassing the previous record set in July 2024. This all takes place in the midst of the heatwave's peak.
