Showers will continue to fall very irregularly, although not everywhere.
BarcelonaThe weather has improved compared to a few days ago, and we are no longer experiencing torrential and extraordinary rainfall like that experienced along the Ebro. However, instability has not disappeared, and the afternoon showers and thunderstorms we experienced today in the northeastern interior of the country and in parts of the pre-coastal region will recur in the coming days. Remnants of showers will linger until late evening or early tonight in the Pre-Pyrenees and northern Central Catalonia, and tomorrow some showers will resume on the coast and pre-coastal region, while new ones will reappear in the afternoon in northern inland areas. Today, more than 20 or 30 l/m² have already accumulated in parts of Osona and La Garrotxa, where the most intense storms have fallen. This is very irregular rainfall and will by no means affect the entire territory, but where it falls, it may be locally heavy and with some light rain.
Thursday: New scattered showers
Unlike Wednesday, this Thursday morning will see more cloudy spells, especially along the coast and pre-coast, where the sky will be heavier. This will all be the result of the arrival of light offshore winds, which will remain unstable.
It will be precisely on the coast and pre-coast—especially Tarragona—that some showers or fairly localized downpours may occur during the morning. From midday and throughout the afternoon, some showers will recur in parts of the coast and pre-coast of Barcelona and Tarragona, while clouds will grow, leaving showers and some irregular thunderstorms in areas of the pre-coast, central Catalonia, and the eastern Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, with the rest of the region not being ruled out. They will be very irregular, but locally some downpours may be more intense. Meteocat extends its warnings to several regions for rain that could be heavy.
Early morning showers could also occur along the Valencian coast, while in the afternoon, some spotty showers will fall inland in the Valencian Community, inland Ibiza, and eastern Mallorca. All this with somewhat lower temperatures. These temperatures will remain at bay and fairly normal for the season, with many temperatures between 18 and 23°C.
Undefined weather in the coming days
Scattered showers will occur again on Friday, especially in inland areas of the northeast, the coastal foothills, and the Pyrenees foothills. The weekend looks set to be calmer, with clearings gaining ground, but with the occasional localized shower still remaining. The anticyclone in the British Isles will maintain instability in our latitudes, and a weakened Atlantic front will approach between Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will remain relatively unchanged, with normal or slightly below average values for the season.
